Job Description

a. Job Description / Responsibilities:

A sales professional with 10 years of experience in selling machinery, engineering goods and products directly to entrepreneurs and institutions preferably from the Construction Equipment/ Engineering Goods/ Farm Machinery industries. The position is based in Delhi.

b. Key Responsibilities:

i. The person would be required to execute a marketing plan and effective sales strategies that reach out to a network of building material contractors, SMEs, dealers and cement wholesalers.

ii. Set up a team for coverage or important clusters in the assigned region,and manage the same. The team will include two Regional Managers and five Sales Managers during the first year.

iii. The person would be Responsible for planning for and generating rapid growth in the assigned region.

iv. The person would be Responsible for delivery of Monthly Invoicing and Collection targets for the zones, and be responsible for top and bottom line growth of the business.

v. Actively Manage customer relationships post the sale to enable cross-selling of other technologies in the portfolio.

c. Desired profile of the candidate

i. Qualification:

Degree in Civil / Mechanical/Electrical engineering essential, MBA desirable.

Good Knowledge of the local geography in NCR.

Experience in selling engineering goods / farm equipment / construction machinery to Small and Medium Entrepreneurs is preferable.

ii. Personal Attributes:

The job will involve selling TARA Machines' green technology packages to builders, brick manufacturers, and building material contractors in the regions; the company has a diverse portfolio of technology products and related machinery with a unique service package. The person must be a highly motivated one so that he can strategize for his zones, help his team to generate a vibrant pipeline of clients, closely follow up with his team for conversion and assist them in the same whenever required. He should generate rapid sales growth and monitor service customer requirements after team members bring in the sales.

Team management skills are essential; the person should be adept in handling a team of 10 people including channel partners. In addition, the following will be expected:

Strong MIS and analytical skills,

Creative, resourceful and leadership abilities,

Good written and oral communication.

iii. Desired Candidate Profile:

- Civil Engineer preferably with MBA in business management /marketing; and outstanding achiever.

- Be able to communicate fluently in Hindi, and good skills in English. Over all 10 years of business experience with minimum 5 years of experience in independently managing a business region.

- Direct marketing and selling experience of concrete machinery and / or experience in new concrete applications, will be considered an added advantage.
