Job Description

The Workshop Manager (WM) shall during his employment:
Generally manage the affairs of the Workshops on a day to day basis and do all such things as may be necessary to give effect to the purpose and business of the Company;

Manage the Workshops operational, logistical and other systems;

Manage the preparation of the monthly Workshops accounts and preparation of annual budgets;

Manage the Workshops performance and other specifications;
Supervise the maintenance of the truck fleet and ensure that the truck fleet comply with all requisite health, safety and environment (HSE) regulations in full compliance with Best Industry Practices in terms of Planned Preventative

Maintenance Programmes;

Advise the Company on acquiring new trucks, equipment and techniques within Nigeria and assessing such new trucks, equipment and techniques with regard to satisfying the Companys requirements regarding its business expansion activities and improving the Companys technical performance, efficiency and cost effectiveness;

Prepare, conduct and evaluate efficiency, quality and service programs within the Workshops in general and the Company in particular;

Supervise the recruitment and selection of all workshop technicians and provide the necessary training for these technicians;

Design, manage and evaluate training programs for all workshop technicians;

Introduce and implement sound management practices in respect of the following

Workshop costing methods;
Workshop budget process;
Fleet Management System;
Workshop Management System;
Tyre Management System;
Technical Training;
Workshop Policies and Procedures;

Perform any other lawful tasks relating or incidental to the management of the Companys Workshop.

Perform all responsibilities stated in the Appendix to his Offer of Employment.
The WM shall carry out his duties and exercise his powers as directed by the COO and CEO and all such directions shall be deemed as issued by the Company.
