Job Description

Candidate should have expertise in Payroll Compliance (GLOBAL PAYROLL- APAC / US)

Identify compliance risks and opportunities in different countries and propose a solution on how to get to a state of full compliance

Analyze tax and financial data and identify risk and opportunities

Provide continuous improvement feedback to the teams and leadership

Work closely with the all payroll teams in all geographies to ensure understanding of compliance and continuous training on compliance

Document compliance policies and communicate this across the business

Analyze audit reports from internal and external auditors and provide a plan for immediate and long term improvement

Develop and coach the payroll teams on compliance rules and processes

Attend and initiate regular meetings with stakeholders

Work with the accounting team to perform a pre-audit of the books in case of an audit

Build a relationship with the HR teams and the Tax team to support them in case of international employment assignments

Core team member for cross border taxation, including development of payroll policies and documentation of cross border taxation

Core team member to ensure compliance for new country implementations and/or new benefit implementations

Core team member for Global Compliance review.

Maintaining good relationship with the outsourced payroll and other third party providers

Liaison with partner departments in preparation for the applicable payrolls

Liaison with external parties and Governments

Continuous process improvement for payroll

Work with the Accounting team to help with any queries on the account reconciliations

Perform internal audits of various payroll areas and prepare materials for external or internal auditors

Assisting with all Year End Procedures

Adding on new and keeping all existing SOPs updated with latest procedures

Initiating Process improvements and Identify opportunities to facilitate business improvement

Training of other team members

Provide information to senior management

To deputize for the Payroll Manager in their absence

To effectively co-ordinate and communicate information to the team and manager

Identify and report risks and breaches immediately, and promote an environment which encourages all staff to do the same

Ensure SLAs are met

Assists in determining work priorities in accordance with the workload, deadlines and change requests

General ad-hoc .
9+ years of relevant experience
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word
Flexible to work in US shifts
Excellent verbal and written skills
Strong experience with customer service
Detail oriented
Strong problem solving and review skills
Prior experience in APAC / US payroll
Team Lead/Supervisor experience preferred
Previous payroll system experience with ADP Freedom payroll system desirable
PeopleSoft and Oracle knowledge desirable
Ability to cope with change and meet challenging deadlines under pressure
Be hands on and results oriented
