As a User Experience Designer you will need to:
Take ownership of the user experience design strategy and execution across the entire product line.
Establish UX/UI standards and best practices of User Centered Design and continuously drive towards improving the end user experience.
Take ownership of the end user field research program and consistently gather insight about the end users context of our product.
Initiate, suggest, and lead the initiative for refactoring the user interactions and interfaces for a more intuitive user experience.
Inspect and analyze functional changes and requirements to identify the UX/UI expectations.
Effectively document and communicate: interaction models, user task flows, wire-frames, screen prototypes and UI specifications for all the new enhancements and changes being done in the Product.
Work closely with the Product Engineering team as the UX/UI advocate and represent the voice of the user.
Work with the visual designer to detail out the UI as per the product objectives and expectations identified during the UX design stage.
Gather metrics about usage statistics, web page traffic and continuously introspect on what works and what doesnt work for end users.
Backup innovative ideas and instincts by gathering factual data and user feedback using surveys and questionnaires.
Keep in touch with relevant technology design trends and keep aligning our product offering accordingly.
You should have:
A technical degree (Engineering, MCA) or business degree (MBA, BBA) from a reputed institute
A minimum of 5 years of experience in the software industry.
Formal qualification in interaction design from a reputed institute.
Excellent analytical skills.
Excellent communication and presentation skills to demonstrate design concepts via visual representations.
Experience working on Web based UI and native apps for Mobiles.
It would be nice if you have:
A design portfolio to demonstrate your past work.
A certification in User Centered Design practices.
Awareness and exposure to Windows native application design practices.
Technical background in software either from software development or systems perspective.
