Job Description

Operations Management

Direct and oversee annual production budget to meet the business Plan.

Overview of monthly production plan by allocating the resources optimally.

Prioritizes, directs and oversees work activities and schedules and communicates with cross functional teams to ensure adherence to site objectives and goals.

Ensure that the capabilities needed to meet objectives in Capacity, Technology, Automation, Process Analytical Technology, Product Quality, Efficiency Improvement and Infrastructure Improvement are identified and appropriately established.

Monitoring the utility efficiency on a regular basis and control excess consumption.

Guide production, maintenance and stores teams in their respective functions.

Ensure that adequate resources are provided for efficient running of the plant.

Review the plant status every week and discuss with theManagement.

Ensures adherence to GMP's, standard operating procedures, safety practices and manufacturing protocols. Ensures the safety of all Manufacturing Operations and employees compliance with all company policies, procedures,safety rules, and regulations. Interface with the statutory bodies and ensure statutory compliance.

Inputs to project and plant personnel and ensure successful completion of new and improvement projects.

Review financial statements, sales and activity reports, and other performance data to measure productivity and goal achievement and to determine areas needing cost reduction and program improvement

Design the strategies along with the otherfunctions for future growth of company business.

Direct and guide on critical operations with the managers to ensure the operation is running

efficiently

Strive for operational excellence without compromising quality of the work to ensure best

practices in place

Quality Management

Ensure that GMP requirements and quality standards are recognized, understood andmaintained across the Company.

Keep abreast of changes to quality regulations and guidelines, advising the management team ofany business implications of these changes. Lead, manage and ensure proper training to anyrelevant change management programs throughout the company.

Direct and guide quality team on critical areas related to QMS, Compliances, Audits and related closures.

Supply Chain management

Confer with supply chain managers to drive forecast demand or create supply plans that ensure availability of materials or products.

Monitorforecasts and quotas to identify changes or to determine their effect on supply chain activities.

Defineperformance metrics for measurement, comparison, or evaluation of supply chain factors, such as product cost or quality.

Direct and guide SCM team to analyze the inventories to determine how to increase inventory turns, reduce waste, or optimize customer service.

Ensure the procedures are developed and implemented for coordination of supply chain management with other functional areas, such as sales, marketing, finance, production, or quality assurance.

Reviewsupply chain practices in accordance with new or changing environmental policies, standards,regulations,orlaws





Budget Control

Present annual budget to the directors and obtain approval

Strategies the budget control activities to ensure the P&L of the vertical in control

Forecasting of the budget for the next financial year basis the business plan defined.

Overview the expense report of plant on a monthly basis.

Directs department activities including budget plans and other reports.

Ensure production, quality and SCM plans are executed on time and as per the budget guidelines





People Management

Manage good industrial relations.

Adheres to standard policies and procedures and acts as a role-model to all employees.

Foster a team and healthy work environment

Work on the management and development of team members employees

Ensure the companys core values at the Unit level.





Skills and Requirements

Proven ability to establish and implement strategic business plans

Engineering skills for plant improvements

Knowledge on utility management Planning and organizing skills

Trouble shooting Fair knowledge on costing Cost Reduction Technique Operation management

Proven ability to establish Division plans and to head the plant

Proven ability to establish performance plans and to manage and provide informal feedback andformal performance reviews to ensure both team and individual objectives are achieved

Demonstrated ability to achieve goals within set timeframes and within budget

Advanced written and oral communication skills including attention to detail

Demonstrated ability to take initiative and to be innovative

Age (yrs.) 50 yrs Max Qualification : B.Tech / B. Pharm, MBA (Full Time)

No. of years of Experience : 15 to 20 yrs
