BUSINESS UNIT

Corporate Services and Real Estate (CSRE), part of the Services Division, acquires, develops and manages the firms global real estate portfolio and delivers innovative and commercially managed travel, document management and hospitality related services.

CSREs core functions are:

Real Estate: plans, builds and operates the firm's facilities worldwide, and is critical to ensuring that our core businesses operate efficiently 24 hours a day, 7 days a week
Business Services: delivers high-quality, commercially managed services to internal partners throughout the firm
Finance: provides commercial and financial support to the CSRE businesses and a control and risk management function for the firms vendor population, expense base and capital projects portfolio
Administration and Communications: oversee organizational development and internal and client communications

ROLE OVERVIEW

Employer is embarking on a major development program to provide a new campus in Bangalore. Part of Services Finance and reporting to the the Global Capital Management Lead and Global Services CFO, the BDP Finance Lead will have oversight of the key project finance functions of Procurement and Capital Management (estimating, scheduling, cost engineering, capital accounting and related control functions provided by the Project Control and Project Accounting teams and various third party consultants). Working in partnership with Real Estate Strategy, Capital Projects, Facilities Management, Real Estate Procurement and the Services CFO (Asia) the role is accountable for ensuring the Bangalore Development Project is delivered to budget and schedule, for the management of associated risks and exposures and executed in accordance with employer governance and policies.

SKILLS / EXPERIENCE

Minimum 15-20 years experience in either commercial management, project management, real estate development or the construction industry, of which at least 7 years will have been at a senior management level
Previous management or supervision of procurement, project controls/estimating/scheduling teams or related finance activity
Experience of working on a related major development project.
Strong communication, interpersonal and organisational skills
Track record of providing a commercial focus to facilitate the delivery of capital projects
Strong commercial skills and business ethics.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Partner with the Capital Projects lead (Asia) to manage delivery of Bangalore Development Project to cost and schedule.
In conjunction with the Services CFO (Asia) ensure compliance with all project governance controls and firm wide policies including assisting the Services CFO (Asia) in reporting to other employer's internal partners (Internal Audit, Controllers, Tax etc.)
In conjunction with the Finance Global Functional Leads manage and lead the Finance working team and related third party consultants.
Lead Finance interface with Real Estate Strategy, Capital Projects, Facilities Management and Real Estate Procurement on the project.

Drive the commercial management of capital projects to ensure value for money is achieved and that the costs of capital projects are captured and reported appropriately
Work with the global functional leads to ensure a globally consistent approach to project delivery.
Ensure that there is visibility on cost and schedule risk in the delivery of the project and report thereon to project Leadership. Participate in risk mitigation strategies.

QUALIFICATIONS

RICS or MBA (or similar) or B.Tech
