Job Description

Oversee the development and adherence to the Group-wide corporate communications strategy that sets-out the guidelines for managing the Group s Brand including its attributes, positioning
Values to allow for a unified communication of a consistent brand message
In line with the overall strategic direction of the Group.
Develop and manage the Public Relations strategy for the Group s brand portfolio and oversee its successful implementation through maximizing positive brand exposure and goodwill maintenance with the media.
Manage the development of policies and procedures frameworks for the Corporate Communications and PR function
Which are in line with the Group s strategy and direction and monitor the effectiveness of such policies
Procedures to ensure compliance with the set-out policies and procedures and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
Review the budget requirements of the overall Corporate Communications Function
Accordingly participate in the development of the budget of the Marketing and Communications Department
Obtain approval from the Chief Marketing and Communications Officer.

Corporate Communications

Oversee and monitor the development of the corporate communication calendar, budget and Group-wide brand assets including the logo, print material, packaging, stationary, and advertising, ensuring that they effectively position the Group
Maximize the value of the brand and coordinate and unify Group communications.
Promote the corporate brand image in the relevant markets monitor how the Group s image is perceived in national
International publications and advise the Group on means for enhancing its corporate image and promoting a high public profile.
Establish brand management (i.e. brand attributes, positioning, and values)
Visual identity guidelines; coordinate with Marketing Departments at the BUs and ensure that the brand management guidelines are adhered to.
Set guidelines and oversee coordination with the Information Technology (IT) Function in managing the marketing aspects of the web services
Manage internal communication and its corresponding platforms, intranet, newsletters.
Manage the development of the Group s Crisis Communication plans for press releases through the establishment of a collaborative approach outlining aspects such as the flow of information, briefing document and media kit guidelines, readiness
Response capabilities, an internal and external communications plan that ensures effective and quick crisis resolution.
Develop social media strategy together with line manager for the Group and brands, in alignment with BU objectives.
Responsible for developing the specific presence, assessment of brand readiness and associated pros and cons

Public Relations

Oversee and monitor the development of the Group Public Relations plan, strategy, and budget and manage Public Relation activities to ensure the Group and brands represented are always portrayed in line with the desired brand positioning.
Organize the implementation of Public Relations campaigns at the corporate in liaison with the respective Marketing Heads; evaluate the effectiveness of the campaigns, and report the impact, success and outcome.
Verify check and approve reports prepared by subordinates periodically, on the various press releases and events/sponsorship programs
Prepare regular briefs, MIS reports and analysis on various aspects of the corporate communication activities.
Ensure that the Public Relations function is effectively tracking Group/ brand references in the media, analyzing key trends
Assessing the overall growth in media coverage on the Group and its brands.
Support and provides services to the BUs as per their indicated requirements in relation to press releases, client advisories, publications and online presence to ensure the company and brand represented are portrayed in the best possible manner.
Establish and maintain ongoing relationships contacts and networks with external parties such as media personnel
Public Relations service providers and key government officials to leverage Public Relations advantage
Provide sufficient support to Group functions in interacting with the media by offering training, drafting press releases, identifying key talking points
Ensuring that media enquiry responses are in line with Group / brands policies and guidelines.
Serve as the general spokesperson of the organization as required
Effectively responding to press inquiries in a timely and consistent manner.
Provide leadership and direction to subordinates towards the achievement of goals and objectives.
Guide and motivate subordinates to enhance performance and produce quality work
Ensure that they are continuously developed for higher level roles.

Education/Qualification

Graduate or Post Graduate Degree, preferably in the field of Business or Mass Communications.
Minimum 15 years experience, with at least 5 years experience in Senior Management role.
Should have experience working with/for brand conscious organizations preferably in the luxury sector.
