This position will be located within the India Global Service Center (GSC) which largely supports US-based consumer and wholesale banking customers subject to US-based banking (non-securities) laws and regulations, as well as local laws which apply to the legal entity for the GSC.
The position would provide Compliance support for the operational activities performed by the GSC supporting the US Credit Cards and Consumer Banking lines of business.
Under the direction of the GSC Chief Compliance Officer (CCO), the GSC Compliance Manager will support and drive the implementation of the Global Compliance Program and its components, in a safe and sound manner and in compliance with applicable laws both in the US and locally.
GENERAL LEVEL OF RESPONSIBILITY:
Demonstrates extensive US and local regulatory compliance knowledge to be able to effectively support and drive the Global Compliance Program
Support the GSC Credit Card and Consumer Banking lines of business for adherence to the Global Compliance Core Practices and framework
Work closely with the GSC line of business to develop and implement compliance plans and frameworks in line with the Global Compliance 7 Core Practices Framework
Liaising with the US and regional lines of business Compliance teams to ensure consistent and best practice compliance procedures and controls are adhered to and implemented
Assess the impact of new laws/ rules/ regulations and internal policies and assisting in the design and implementation
Conduct line of business Compliance related Training when necessary
Support compliance testing staff in enhancing the Global Compliance Test Program. Monitors and ensures the regulatory control environment is effective.
Interfaces with senior and middle line management, making decisions independently but discusses unusual or complex issues with compliance management.
Act as central point for the GSC lines of business for all migration charter reviews and approvals
Establish and maintain a consistent breach and issue management process for the lines of business supported.
Implement and maintain a regional and global reporting model to provide timely and relevant management information across through appropriate reporting mechanisms (scorecards, dashboards, monthly management meetings)
Relevant tertiary qualifications
8-10+ years experience in Risk, Compliance or Audit
Proven extensive experience in US laws, rules and regulations applicable to the Credit Cards and
Understanding of corporate governance requirements and principles of risk management and compliance principles
Experience implementing compliance policies and procedures
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Excellent decision maker with the ability to manage multiple tasks
