Job Description

Project manage the transition of a largely geography based Finance function to a process based organization

Initial project will focus on the successful and timely reorganization of the Finance Shared Service Center, Chennai (1,200 FTE). The role is responsible for managing the delivery and providing direction to a number of work streams within the project to ensure the overall coordination of the streams, including coordination with the UK implementation of the global process model

Work closely with the Global Process Managers and Project Manager, Finance, Global Process Organization, UK to shape and provide direction to the work streams within the project.

Key Responsibilities :

Project Management :

- Drive communication with senior stakeholders to ensure that there is broad organizational level buy in for the changes

- Ability to think through concepts on an end to end basis (including all downstream impact)

- Manage risks and issues appropriately, raising items to senior management when necessary

- Maintain accurate plans, cost estimates, benefit realization models, and other typical project management documentation

- Identify and address the root cause of issues, providing advice and ensuring queries and issues are managed and resolved in a timely fashion

- Co-ordinate and manage resources to deliver agreed outputs

- Determine inter-relationships across project streams to maximize on time, cost and quality

People / Resource Management :

- Contribute to the proactive and visible leadership of projects, share business knowledge and technical expertise, building a toolkit for subsequent country implementations

- Monitor workloads and manage capacity within the project team to achieve optimal deployment of resources

- Build, manage, coach, develop and engage a team of high performing Work stream Leads

Targets & Budgets :

- Maintain business case and ensure benefits can and are tracked for the project

- Ensure that the project is delivered to right time frames and within scope

- Strong background in working across global organisations and cultures

- Delivery of high quality work, in a limited amount of time

- Good PowerPoint, Word and Excel skills

- Excellent Project management skills including management of multiple streams

- Excellent consulting and communication skills, able to convey complex messages quickly and succinctly to various senior stakeholders

- Excellent attention to detail

- High levels of drive and resilience

- Pragmatic approach to achieving the objectives set, able to flex an approach as needed

- A willingness to work with ambiguity within a fluid business environment

- Track record of working in a very organized way, multi-tasking, prioritizing, managing data, and setting and achieving deadlines (both short and long term)

- Capacity to think creatively and laterally; excellent reasoning skills and the ability to make sound judgments

Desirable :
