Job Description

Technical Support Engineer will be based in Chennai

He will be a part of the three member team which will provide technical support to the team and will be:

One stop shop at the regional level for the TSMs for technical queries across multiple product lines
Assisting with product demos, on-site trainings to customers, standardized walk-through/assessment
Responsible for product documentation, product selection, linking selection with statutory requirements and hazards on the site, product usage instructions, maintenance requirements
Training of ASMs, support product launches in the zone (Q&A from sales team/customers)
Make specification of the products and support the team win orders at end customer place
Improving the efficiency of the Distributor sales rep, by constantly training them about the product range from time to time.
Acting as a bridge between the Standards and the products and help the team value sell the products,

Key Responsibilities:

Be part of the technical service team of a zone and provide technical expertise on all product categories of the portfolio
Support the sales teams in resolving all customer queries on the technical aspects of the products
Provide after sales service to the customers as per the agreement
Partner with the product specialists on training of sales teams in the zone
Assist the sales teams on product demos, product training to the customers, standardized walk- throughs and assessments
Create and update product manuals, and other documentation
Be aware of the statutory requirements and certifications and create linkage of the product selection with the same
Help sales team identify possible opportunities at the customer site based on broad hazard assessment of the sites

Competencies required:

The candidate to have 3 - 8 years of Experience in a related role or as a EHS (Environmental, Health and Safety) team member in a factory.
Technical knowledge of the PPE (personal protection equipment) Gloves, Hoods, Respiratory protection equipment, Jumpsuits, Helmets etc.
Ability to collaborate with multiple stakeholders
Customer orientation
Analytical skills
Should be willing to travel extensively to meet and work at end customer location.

Education Background -

The candidate should be preferably from an Engineering background with a diploma in Industrial Hygiene or has done a PG in Industrial safety or EHS.
