Provide comprehensive technical support and training coordination to implement the Project IT Plan on small- to medium-sized projects.
Recommend updates required to meet changes in information technology and project scope.
Plan, support, and coordinate project automation requirements and record best practices.
Communicate standard IS&T services to the project for hardware, software, and communications.
Coordinate with project teams and functions to identify the automation requirements and ensure as per schedule implementation
Facilitates collaboration between stakeholders who have diverse objectives.
Processes and implement non-standard requests according to global/regional automation policies and procedures.
Provide input towards the development of the project budget, cost estimates, and evaluating buy vs. build.
Maintain accurate and timely asset management and inventory control of computer hardware and software.
Share technical and process knowledge with team members and may provide technical direction as appropriate to associate team members
Adhere to Bechtels safety program as it relates to Project IT systems
Develops and implements the IT portion of the project closeout plan
Travel to jobsites for short term project support or possibly for long term project assignments as needed
Key Competencies required-
Comprehensive knowledge of hardware and operating systems including system architectures, network, infrastructures, client server principles, backup, recovery, and storage policies and procedures, and planning and implementing disaster prevention and recovery
Ability to organize and deliver presentations to clearly communicate to others.
Ability to work with customers to understand their requirements and expectations by asking questions and listening.
Communication and interpersonal skills that enables both independent and/or team approach to assigned technical work tasks
Work as part of a collaborative team and can perform independently when required to get the job completed
Ability to identify, track, escalate and resolve problems using comprehensive techniques and methods of troubleshooting end-user problems and take responsibility for the resolution of service problems
Ability to work in a fast paced environment while balancing multiple priorities
(Essential) Recognized degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or any Engineering discipline from an accredited college or university
Microsoft Desktop and Server Operating System certification
Comprehensive knowledge of process design and techniques, project management processes and tools (e.g. project scheduling, budgeting, status reporting)
Experience with the coordination and execution of IT plans associated with EPC projects
PMP, ITIL, PRINCE2 or related certification
