Responsible engineer for piping design solutions in assigned areas of a project. He must have good knowledge for various equipments used in hydrocarbon/ petrochemical process industry or in Rubber plant.
He should be capable of preparing professional and economic plant layout and piping design concepts for AG and UG piping systems in 3D CAD (PDMS) environment. He should have good understanding of local statutory norms related to plant layout and piping design.
He should have good knowledge of thermal behaviour of piping systems and pipe support selection. Accordingly, he/she shall make economic piping layout during conceptual project phase. He should be capable to define and optimize steel structure requirements for pipe rack, technological structures, pipe supports, operating platforms, field columns etc.
He should be capable of providing loading information for Civil/Steel structure design.
He should be capable of controlling/monitoring design quality, progress and schedule. He should be able to analyse design changes and incorporate these changes in design with minimum impact on budget and schedule.
He is responsible for ensuring client requirements in design. He must understand, analyse and negotiate additional client requirements arising in Design review meetings and make suitable action plan.
He should be capable of preparing/reviewing nozzle orientation for complex towers / columns / equipments having internals. Also he should be capable to review and prepare piping design deliverables (i.e. Bill of Material, Isometrics and Piping GA Drawings)
He should be capable of identifying inputs required from other disciplines and ensure quality of deliverables of piping layout department, meeting project schedule.
