To perform this role successfully, the individual will be responsible for but not limited to the following:
Design Mechanical Ventilation and Air Conditioning Systems, such as:
o Design of constant and Variable Air Volume (CAV/VAV)
o Design of main Supply/Extract Air Handling Units (AHUs)
o Design and selection of ventilation plant including Fans (VFD), Heating & Cooling Coils, Humidification/Dehumidification, Heat Recovery, Filtration, Sensors (pressure differential across filters & etc.) and BMS Controls
o Design and Specification of Insulation products, Power Supplies supporting Mechanical Plant (Including Control Panels), Duct & Fan sizing calculations, material selection, Pressure rating, Access panel Requirements, Ancillary Devices (volume control dampers, fire dampers), Support Fixings, Anti Vibration mounts VAV/CAV boxes and Final Grilles/ Diffusers.
o Design of Fan Coil Units (FCU's) including Ductwork Design for Fan Coil Units control system.
o Design of specialist ventilation systems including WC extract. Kitchen ventilation, stairwell pressurization, car park ventilation
o Design of Jet Nozzles- Throw requirements / air distribution calculations, Acoustic, CFD Analysis, Terminal ,Jet Nozzle selection and Air velocity calculations
o Design of low pressure hot water and chilled water system including pipe sizing pressure drop calculation, pump selection commissioning valves, pressurization & expansion vessel sizing, ETS room design.
Cooling Load Calculations- The designers must be competent using calculations software packages to provide cooling load calculations for buildings. The software's used are- IES, Hevacomp , Trane/Trace 700,HAP, TEKNOsim and BSim.
Heat Load & Heat Loss calculations: The designers must be competent using calculations software packages to provide heat load and heat loss calculations for buildings. The software's used are: IES , TEKNOsim Bsim
Design of Chilled water plant - The designers must be competent designing chiller solutions for buildings. The design of chillers will involve: Air and Water cooled chillers (primarily used), and Absorption Chillers- Chiller selection, Cooling Towers, Open / closed circuit, Condenser Water Treatment Plant, Ammonia / Lithium Bromide, etc.
Design of Building Management Systems (BMS) including production of plant schedules operating strategies, single line diagram.
Must possess the ability to develop complex designs, drawings and calculations with minimal guidance from other senior staff
Must possess sound knowledge on understanding aspects of Design Basis Reports, be competent designing Mechanical Ventilations and Air Conditioning Systems (CAV and VAV) solutions for buildings.
Should have knowledge of calculation software such including IES, TEKNOsim, Hevacomp, Trane/Trace 700, HAP and BSim.
Should have knowledge of 3D design software such as Revit and MagiCad. And preferable also software like: Navisworks & Solibri.
Should have experience in working with Middle East and UK and be familiar with regional standard and regulations; and be interested in working with the Nordic countries(Northern Europe and the North Atlantic. It consists of five countries Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway, and Sweden as well as their autonomous regions the land Islands, the Faroe Islands and Greenland.)
Should be passionate about engineering with an attitude of absolute intolerance for non-compliance in relation to people safety, environment, authoritys requirements or product quality.
Should have flexible attitude, in an environment with frequently changing deadlines and can be relied on to meet deadlines.

Must possess professional English language skills (written and verbal).
Should be able to communicate clearly with drafting team by sketches, and also doing review in 3D models.
