Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Website Product Management

Website Operation

Website Strategy

o Manage the website as global product.

o Lead the design aspects for the website; make sure of consistent and updated design across all website sections.

o Develop great interactive experience for end users according to the needs of our internal customers worldwide.

o Analyze incoming requests from clients and organize the implementation by working in cross functional teams covering marketing leaders, designers, web developers, search team, translators, quality, and external agencies to achieve desired results.

o Lead website development projects Coordinate with stakeholders and vendors as necessary.

o Manage the integration and maintenance of website and integrated application with the goal of 24/7 uptime

o Support maintenance and further development of our Web site, applications and Web based infrastructure

o Liaise with search marketing/social marketing teams to make sure both teams work in sync.

o Stay updated with the latest trends in website related technologies. Continually maintain the website as best in class.

o Analyse the existing website architecture and propose upgrades for long term scalability.

o Analyse the existing application integration architecture for the website and recommend necessary upgrades.

o Build the security architecture for the website.

o Ensure knowledge sharing between external consultants and team members and internally inside the team.

Personal Competencies :


/Experience BE/B-Tech, MCA or B. Sc

Technical Skills

10-12 years of experience.

University degree in Computer Science, Software

Engineering or comparable with the corresponding professional experience.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team with minimal supervision

Fluent in English language

At least 6 years of experience in development of complex web projects

Experience in planning, creation, maintenance and monitoring of websites and related infrastructure, tools & techniques, including web and application servers (Apache, Tomcat, IIS, Websphere,...) on Linux and Windows platform

Experience in design and development of portal and CMS solutions (Liferay, FirstSpirit, Drupal, Joomla).

Excellent know-how of Website Architecture (Internet, Intranet and Extranet).

Strong experience on web technologies like Java/J2EE or .NET, PHP (LAMP stack), HTML 5, CSS, Javascript, jQuery etc.

Knowledge of techniques (Usability, Wireframing, Prototyping etc.) and tools (Photoshop, Balsamiq etc.) related to User Interface design.

Exposure to web analytics (GoogleAnalytics/Piwik) and social marketing techniques (SEO/SEM) and their integration with websites.

Experience in optimizing web sites for high performance and responsiveness under load.

Understanding of business processes.

Experience with cross platform (MS Windows, Mac OS), cross browser (IE, Firefox, Safari, Chrome), standards compliant object oriented programming.

Solid understanding of the evolving technologies and standards relevant to the execution of web-based designs (HTML, CSS, DHTML, JQuery, DOJO, DWR, Javascript/AJAX, etc.).

Demonstrated experience in formulating design solutions from very high level requirements.

Demonstrated ability to be a quick learner who can adjust to changing priorities.

Self-motivated to explore new frameworks, applications and environments.

Strong oral and written communication skills.

Knowledge of German language is added advantage,

Nice to have experience in the implementation of service oriented architecture and standards SOAP, REST, BPEL, WSDL, service
registry, policy servers etc.

Expertise in web/online technical product management and exposure to Project and Service Management.
