Initiates the design, development, execution and implementation of scientific research.
SoC projects to fuel Company's growth in the areas of computing, communication, technology and manufacturing and new business opportunity.
Investigates the feasibility of applying scientific principles and concepts to potential inventions and products typically 4+ years prior to landing on a product road map.
Plans and executes laboratory research. Maintains substantial knowledge of state-of-the-art principles and theories, and contributes to scientific literature and conferences.
May participate in development of intellectual property. May coordinate interdepartmental activities and research efforts.
Power/area/performance driven architecture and micro architecture
Logic design and RTL development
FPGA emulation and prototyping of key design IP and SoC
SoC architecture and microarchitecture design and optimization
RTL design and familiarity with RTL-to-GDS flow/methodology
Platform design and optimization
Preferred qualifications: 5+ years of experience in one or more of the skills listed above

Firmware, system software, operating system, Android, Linux, Windows internals.
Communication stacks, MAC layer, PHY layer, key communication algorithms and protocol standards
Pre-silicon and/or Post-silicon validation and debugging.
