Job Description

Prerequisite:

A minimum of 9 years of experience in object oriented programming technologies and developing web based applications
Experience of managing a team of 4 to 6 developers
Proven experience in JAVA, J2EE, EJB, JSP, OLAP, Servlets, and Struts
Experience in developing application for, Websphere, JBoss, JDBC, ORM technologies
Experience developing applications that run on industry leading application servers such as WebLogic, WebSphere, and JBoss
Proven analysis and design skills
Knowledge of industry standard design patterns
Proven verbal and written communication skills
Experience in evaluating tools and technologies

Job Profile:

Manage a team of 4-6 developers.
Work with Development Manager to define, estimate, plan and execute mid to large size projects.
Estimate, plan, and supervise development plans and lead project team members to ensure accurate and timely deliverables for releases of the assigned product lines
Work with Architect to deliver high-level and detailed design.
Review team members implementation to ensure adherence to the design and coding guidelines.
Perform functional code reviews and integration tests.
Mentor and coach the team members on all aspects.
Proactively suggest and recommend improvements to the product and process.
Develop deep expertise in the product domain.
Analyze and communicate the impact of new features and roadmap changes.
Demonstrate effective use of project resources, identify risks in time, and communicate status information with project stakeholders
Contribute to the overall QA planning and strategy.
Help drive new initiatives that help faster turnaround and improve overall product quality.
Support Technical Communications and Translations teams by ensuring timely inputs, clarifications, and document reviews.
Act as subject matter expert for other team members on the product being developed.
Possess a can-do attitude to balance work volume, set limits, and project deadlines, while prioritizing to maintain and deliver quality work.
Assist management in recruitment and team building activities.
Set goals, coach, supervise, and manage the performance of assigned team members.
Perform any other related duties as directed by the reporting manager.

Preferred

At least 10 years experience in Java/J2EE
At least 8 years experience in Application Servers like Websphere
At least 7 years experience in Database Knowledge DB2/Oracle
At least 5 years experience in Architecture/Design
