Job Description

Qualifications, Experience and Education-

- MUST love problem solving in timely fashion and tracking progress in a ticketing system-

- MUST have excellent knowledge of Java.

- Proficiency in reading and analyzing code is required and ability to write code is a plus.

- MUST have experience with search technologies, such as Lucene / SOLr.

- MUST have demonstrated competence in Windows and LINUX.-

- Minimum of 3-5 years in technical support with a demonstrated track record of technical competence and customer satisfaction a plus.

- Ideal candidate will have systems architecture knowledge (CPUs, storage sub-system, network, and operating system configurations)

- Ideal candidate will have knowledge of troubleshooting network protocols (TCP/IP, HTTP/S, SSL, SSH, etc.) and querying SQL relational databases.

- Effective interpersonal skills coupled with the ability to work across organizational boundaries.-

- Solid English written and verbal communication, planning, prioritizing, and organizational skills-

- Demonstrated thought and team leadership is a plus-

- Commitment to follow through and completion of assigned tasks-

- Exceptionally strong technical trouble-shooting, analytical problem-solving, as well as a self motivating individual who takes initiative

- Ability to work efficiently in a fast paced, deadline driven environment, balancing competing priorities

- Knowledge of JIRA, Maven, Puppet, SVN, a plus.-

- Knowledge of Oracle, Kerberos a plus-

- A BS/CS or equivalent degree is required-

- Can work well both independently and with remote teams in other regions. This is a position located at the client site, and will not have a large network.
