Job Description

Identify, understand and document our clients networking and outsourcing requirements; provide design support during the bid phase where required and post contract
Responsible for ensuring that the produced network designs are in alignment with networks strategy and are current and fit for purpose.
Produce network design documents both High Level Designs (HLD) & Low Level Designs (LLDs) in accordance with the agreed network design architecture
Working with E2E designers, solution Architects & Engineering teams for input and to understand and incorporate changes in the designs produced
Technical Skills:
Detailed knowledge at design level of all major components of network infrastructure used within the data networking (Layer-2 & 3).
Proven experience in designing and implementing large and complex network solutions
Excellent knowledge about existing best practices for network technology integration
Then understanding of Avaya LAN products and their implementation
Avaya SPBM Provision
Prefer knowledge around
o ISIS
o MLT
o SMLT
o VIST
o Switch cluster

Prefer working knowledge on Avaya Fabric technology
Working knowledge on enterprise network design
Prefer working knowledge on datacenter design
Knowledge (preference hands-on) Avaya products such as ACSS 3600, Avaya ERS 8000 and VSP 9000 Installation and Configuration (ACIS - 6103)

Routing Protocols: RIPv1 & v2, EIGRP, OSPF and BGP/MP-BGP.

Switching Protocols: ETHERNET (802.3), VLAN, VTP, TRUNKING (ISL & 802.1Q), STP (802.1D), RSTP (802.1W), MSTP (802.1S) HSRP, VRRP, GLBP.

Miscellaneous: MPLS, QoS, TCP/IP, IPsec, Multicasting, Ether-channel (LACP & PAgP) etc.
