Job Title: Global Functions IT Application Analyst
Business Unit/Function :Service Operations -- Applications & Process Support
Location : Bangalore
Application Support:Provide technical support to Global Function Applications
Incident Management: Execute 100% of the support activity using ITIL incident management process and other tools and processes. This includes contact with end-users.-50%
Change Management: Follow change management process and use the appropriate tools to ensure changes into Production environment are properly tested and approved.
Application Life Cycle: Ensures application's health and keeps us current with vendor patches and hot fixes, ensuring high availability of the supported application.
Partner with other IT organizations to ensure application's health and availability.
Ensure application's compliance with Risk and Controls policies, procedures and requirements as well as external requirements and applicable laws/legislations.
Perform root cause analysis, implementation of permanent fixes.-25%
Own and execute Application Owner Role (strategy, operations, compliance & education) and tasks-20%
Other miscelleanous activities as assigned-5%
Education :Bachelor's Degree in IT and relevant experience in technology.
6+ years experience within IT
Proven strong problem solving/decision-making skills.
3+ years experience with application support
3 + years experience with relational databases, stored procedures, triggers (Oracle experience preferred)
Experience interacting with multiple business units, functional teams and IT departments
Strong written and verbal communication skills, ability to communicate technical and business information effectively to both technical and non-technical people.
Ability to communicate to different levels of the organization
Demonstrated ability to work both independently and in a team
Ability to understand our business, work across business units, be a team player and enjoy working in a team-oriented environment.
Experience with applications ona Citrix platform.
Proven skills in sharing information and expertise with others, delivering solutions, performing root cause analysis
Experience as an application owner
Experience working with complex business processes
Experience working in a virtual team
Experience in application lifecycle management
History of working with and knowledge of functions and manufacturingapplications (e.g. Maximo, Tracs, Unilab, Protime, Interspec).
Knowledge of Tibco and WebMethods
ITIL tools (Remedy Incident, change, config)
