Analyst - BI MIS is responsible for providing support to meet reporting requirements of business, undertaking basic MIS activities providing maintenance support for MIS databases and processes and liaising with employees for various requirements.
A. To meet reporting requirements of business
Creates and maintains reports in MS Excel & MS SQL that allows the company to get information on daily business activities.
Prepares periodic Performance Status Reports to functional leaders.
Designs reporting formats to provide accurate information in a clear and concise manner.
Undertakes troubleshooting requests and validates various data requests for the team from stakeholders.
Extracts, transforms and inputs data sets from various sources, creates predictive models and codes methods.
Prepare Dashboard for Management for better understanding of data
B. To undertake basic MIS activities, provide maintenance support for MIS databases and processes
By understanding the data points/KPIs that need to be reported, extracts data from all available and relevant data sources such as Business Objects and Crystal Reports.
Exports data into excel from Business Objects and Aspect to further cleanse the data for further alignment.
Aligns and applies hierarchy to the raw excel data and uploads the same on MS SQL.
Creates new excel sheets (in reportable format) by linking it with MS SQL to prepare final reports.
Creates final reports for review by supervisor.
Creates queries to extract data points which are combination of data from Aspect as well as Business Objects and also to create databases.
Maintains various databases for the MIS team.
Produces and supports existing reports and processes.
C. Automation of Report
Automating Excel report in order to reduce time consumption and increase efficiency
Should be able to write and modify VBA code.
Should have knowledge to integrate other application with excel by using VBA
