Job Description :
Support and Administer Oracle database instances effectively, efficiently and independently
Expertise in managing multiple Oracle 9i,10g,11g databases on medium to large systems
Very good knowledge of Linux/AIX/Windows and its related commands and shell scripting.
Performing tasks related to installation and configuration of Oracle and Oracle RAC. Enough expertise to identify and recommend changes/improvements to the process.
Identify scope for automation and standardization
Proficient in performance tuning, backup, recovery, security, patching, upgrades and high availability, good knowledge of RMAN mandatory
Expertise in OEM and basic SQL tuning knowledge
Expertise in building and supporting HA/DR solutions namely RAC and DG
Knowledge on the latest 11g/12c database features
Resolve moderate to complex (P1, P2 and P3) incidents and problems effectively and in a timely manner
Providing 24X7 production support and available for escalations
Responsible for performing root cause analysis and long term fixes
Responsible for implementation of medium to complex components of a project module, change request.
Responsible for providing trend analysis to management team to enable them to make informed decisions
Work in a cross cultural team and communicate effectively, work cohesively as unit with Tesco employees.

Punctuality, discipline in leave planning and Flexible to work in shifts (including night shift) and taking up on call is mandatory
