Job Description

Manage & Control OBIEE 11g & 10g application infrastructure
Job Background/context:
(Where the position sits within the department/organization)
Work with Development, System Engineers, Database Engineers, Application Managers and other teams

Key Responsibilities:
Experience & Expertise in
OBIEE 10g & 11g Application Architecture & components
OBIEE 10g to 11g upgrade for at least one project
Security Implementation such as AD(LDAP), SSO (Siteminder) and CRM/OBIEE Integration
Perform application administration in Windows 2003 or higher environment
Out of the box & third-party tools to perform all aspects of OBIEE 10g & 11g administration including Weblogic & IIS
Perform POCs on existing &new features of OBIEE 11g & OBIEE Foundation suite (E.g.Mobility)
Applying Oracle patches & understanding system patches
Administration & configuration of Server components, Dashboards, Answers, BI Publisher, Delivers, ibots/agents
Establish Monitoring procedures on Server Utilization, Report over usage, Memory issues
Multi user development environment & Migration activities

Desired Skills and Experience
Person Specification

Strong Administration of OBIEE 10G and 11G and Integration of Oracle CRM (Siebel) with Analytics
OBIEE 10g to 11g upgrade process for large scale application
Experience in cache management and performance tuning of reports
Monitoring, Detecting and Fixing OBIEE 10g & 11g Infrastructure issues
Knowledge in capacity planning for entire OBIEE infrastructure including DB, Server and Application requirements
Experience in using WebLogic and IIS to implement/customize/administer OBIEE 10g & 11g application
Ability to think through complex problems/scenarios and identify the key success factors
Ability to communicate effectively at all levels with people of varying backgrounds, roles and points of view
Ability to drive & deliver installation/upgrade/POC projects
Ability to record and restate information in an effective and professional manner
Ability to use MS Office at an advanced level for usage tracking, statistics etc.
Proficiency of relational data models and database design
Demonstrated proficiency with various reporting/business intelligence tools (SQL, OBIEE, BI publisher).
