Job Description

Manage Windows-based server, storage, email, and datacenter systems
Manage networking infrastructure such as layer 2 & layer 3 switches, firewalls, wireless access points, etc.
Ensure system performance, system availability, and customer satisfaction that meet or exceed published service levels
Maintain a highly available and secure server environment
Manage disaster recovery requirements and backups for all key systems, data, and services
Ensure adequate system documentation
Produce required management reports based on business metrics for sysadmin services
Ensure that all systems placed into production have support plans, including system-specific configuration / operational support training for system administrators
Manage the server and storage equipment procurement process, including ensuring appropriate equipment inventories and software licenses
Manage suppliers in the sysadmin supply chain
Manage the Tier II responsibilities of the incident management process for incidents related to systems and storage
Participate as necessary in the Change Management and Release to Production processes
Maintain appropriate and effective organizational structure, processes, and tools to support the responsibilities of the sysadmin function
Collaborate effectively with peers in IT and other departments
Occasional travel (<10%)

7-8 years of IT experience with 4 years in production systems administration and/or large scale endpoint management environments
4-5 years of relevant Windows systems administration experience
Experience managing DHCP, DNS, DFS, FRS, AD, etc. in a production environment
Experience with SNMP and WMI for instrumentation and monitoring
Experience with Windows batch scripting and automation via scripted jobs
Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
Ability to manage multiple customers and priorities in a rapidly changing environment
Experience in administration and Tier II support activities of mission critical systems and services
Experience supporting remote offices (e.g., branch offices, franchises, dealers)
Strong operations orientation with a high personal sense of urgency
Bachelors degree in Computer Science or Engineering, or equivalent experience
Evidence of technical skill mastery, such as MCSE, CCNA, etc.
