7-12 years of experience in System Administration and overall understanding of datacenter design and implementation
A solid understanding of the various Data Center infrastructure components (OS Platforms, network firewalls, routers and switches, storage, compute and tools)
Ability to understand and refine clients’ business requirements and non stated requirements and convert it into a cost effective Solution Design.
Experience in developing data center design, architecture and implementation plans, and managing end-to-end implementation lifecycles of data center related projects.
Design and develop custom programs to aid in systems management
Extensive experience in installation, administration and networking in various environments.
Level - 2/3 support experience will be helpful
Thorough knowledge of Windows 7; Windows XP; Windows Server 2003; Windows Server 2008; VMWare; Citrix; TCP/IP; Active Directory Services; Active Directory Group Policy Objects (GPO); Group Policy Management Console (GPMC); DHCP; WINS; and DNS.
Install, configure and maintain server hardware and operating systems
Install and configure software applications
Interface with vendors to resolve hardware and software problems
Evaluate potential equipment, components and software
Maintain current and correct documentation
Develop and implement plans, schedules and requirements for the deployment of systems
Develop effective processes and procedures
Align projects with strategic direction
Prioritize security action plans based on effectiveness, efficiency and sustainability
Review policy and assign responsibility for security implementation
Assess and strengthen measures to control access to and use of critical assets
Develop and implement improved security defenses and administer appropriate security controls
Perform subsequent investigations and/or perform computer forensics
Test and analyze malicious code, vulnerable software, security tools, and patches
Develop training program for other staff
Provide technical guidance to other staff
Excellent hands-on knowledge on the best-practices of deploying the data center solution.
Excellent client facing and communication skills (verbal and written skills)
Excellent skills in Microsoft Visio, Word, Excel, Powerpoint is a must
Additional GOOD TO HAVE Skills:
Relevant certifications (MCSE, CCNA, VCP etc.,) will be a plus .
Exposure to cloud related technologies.
Exposure to one or more of ActiveDirectory configuration/administration, Juniper SRX, Iron Port, CA IDM and CA Siteminder, ArcSight, CyberArk, Encase, NetApp or EMC devices is a plus.
Exposure to IP Telephony will be a plus
