Performs moderately complex Project Cost Control activities include, but are not limited to:

* Serves as Cost Team Leader on medium and large-sized projects
* Prepare the Work Breakdown and Project Coding Structures for control and integrity of work to be performed as defined by the contract.
* Develops cost control, execution plan, and business plan for a project
* Accumulates and compiles accurate cost management data to prepare the project budget and update the progress of the project
* Participates in weekly project cost reviews meetings
* Develops and implements a basic change management system for engineering and construction
* Identifies trends and deviations and recommends corrective courses of action
* Recommends solutions or recovery plans to cost impact
* Develops and analyzes the Project Income Statement and prepares the Sensitivity Analysis for management
* Provide general supervision and/or administrative direction to a staff on larger projects
* Lead the proposal efforts for costing activities
* Engage in direct contact with other functional areas, including client and field contractors
* Maintain and support the office estimating database and information such as escalation indices, rate of exchange variation, productivity,
* Uses the Work Breakdown and Project Coding Structures to ensure that data are entered correctly into the Project costing systems in a consistent manner
* Assists in the preparation of cash flows, Project Income Statements and performs profit recognition activities
* Analyzes current cost trends and identifies potential problem areas * Possesses strong personal computer skills and proficiency in the use of automated cost management systems * Develops and tracks Risk and Opportunities Evaluation
* Assist in developing Home Office and Construction Budgets
* Provides Status of Reserves and Contingencies
* Coordinates the review of Project Profit/Risk Analysis with management and provides status reporting
* Serves as Control Team Leader on projects and provides direct supervision to a small team of Project Controls personnel, if necessary
* Analyzes variances in cost and schedule performance against the plan, and communicates the reasons for the issuance of variance and proposed mitigation plans to Project Management
* Interprets contract conditions to ensure compliance
* Develops and delivers training programs in Project Cost systems and methods
* Maintains familiarity with the functionality of automated cost management systems
* Provides meaningful, accurate historical data

Basic Job Requirements

B Tech / B.E. with minimum 10 years experience in a Consulting / Engineering (EPC environment) pertaining to Hydrocarbon / Petro-chemical / Oil & Gas / Power sectors.

Other Job Requirements

Strong interpersonal and team management skills. The individual should be willing to undertake challenging opportunities in other functions of project controls and devote time for development of team/subordinates.
