Job Description

As a member of the Professional Services Solutions Architecture team you will be responsible for design and implementation of solutions for Sandvine customers as the subject matter expert on Sandvine products and services. The Solutions Architect plays the lead role in supervising the successful implementation of a solution and oversees the quality and completeness of the delivery throughout the project lifecycle with direct accountability for communicating the solution design to the customer, project managers, development engineers and, where necessary, Sandvine internal stakeholders in other departments such as Product Management, Quality Assurance, and Engineering.

Leading and supervising technical end-to-end delivery of a solution as part of a team working on the system integration and implementation for a customer. Activities will include:

Interfacing with the customer throughout the delivery of a solution

Interpreting customer requirements into a well presented and documented technical solution design

Supervising and participating in the development, testing and deployment of a solution

Review and approval of all Sandvine internal and customer facing deliverables associated with a solution

Responsible for technical scope management and change control, ensuring proficient on-budget delivery of assigned projects and tasks
Shall provide consultative support to project managers on technical scope
Should be familiar with change management and identify and interpret additional business requirements and drive them to successful implementation
Candidate shall be required to ensure completion of project deliverables within designated timeframe and strict quality control while maintaining high level of customer satisfaction
Continuously improve and expand Sandvines products and solutions portfolio understanding along with keeping an up to date industry knowledge around best practises and latest technological developments
Interface with Sandvine internal groups (Product Management, Engineering, Quality Assurance) to continuously improve and innovate
Providing knowledge transfer, consultative support and mentorship to other colleagues
Work effectively as a member of the team, taking initiative in driving projects to completion, and assuming a leadership role when needed
Should be comfortable to function in different time zones and challenging delivery schedules.
Should be willing to work hands on with equipment and tools where required and support other team members in across functional role
Ability and willingness to travel to absolutely any part of the world.
Ability and willingness to take initiative in driving projects to completion and operate with minimal supervision
Ability to manage and resolve ambiguity
Ability to multitask and seamlessly manage several concurrent projects
Ability to work under pressure to meet strict deadlines and adhere to challenging delivery schedules

The Match-up Benchmark:

BS or MS (or equivalent) degree in Engineering or Computer Science
5+ year experience in networking and data communications industry with different operator networks and/or vendors
for Wireline (Cable, DSL, FTTx etc) and Wireless (Satellite, WiFi, LTE, GPRS-3G, CDMA-3G, WiMAX, GSM, UMTS etc)
Understanding of billing and charging concepts and experience with Online Charging and Policy Enforcement (OCS, PCRF, PCEF)
Experience with web technologies (Javascript, HTML5, HTTP, etc.)
Knowledge of packet level debugging using Wireshark, tcpdump, tcpreplay or similar tools Knowledge of industry models and best practices (eg. Scrum, ITIL etc)
Exposure to and understanding of web application concepts like P2P, VoIP, WAP, MMS, RTSP
Experience of data modelling, DB administration, SQL/Postgresql, ETL and/or BI in general
Experience with or exposure to programming or scripting languages such as Java, C/C++, python, Perl etc
Good understanding of end-to-end network call flows, as well as relevant technologies & protocols (DHCP, RADIUS,
Commanding knowledge of unix based operating systems such as Linux, FreeBSD etc
Excellent demonstrated customer interaction skills in a technical or professional services type role
Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills
Willingness and ability to travel to domestic and international destinations (approx. 25% to 50% of the time)
