Job Description

Software Architect/Development Manager



Experience- 12+ years

Location Gurgaon

Salary As per industry



We are looking for a competent Solution Architect/Development Manager for one of its clients. The jobholder will be working under the technology services centre of excellence and will be aligned with one or more clients.



Because the jobholder will be working from start to finish on each project, its essential to understand all aspects of each system, from both a business and technical point of view. This means having a full working knowledge of technologies such as C#, SQL Server, for example, as well as knowledge of one or more software development methodologies with special focus on Agile.



Responsibilities include:



Design solutions complying with clients Enterprise Architecture standards

Communicate solution architecture and ensure it is sufficiently documented

Develop software according to defined requirements in compliance with agreed project planning and standards alone or leading a team as required by the scale of the solution

Propose end-to-end solution designs addressing business requirements



Conduct proof of concepts, validating the proposed solution meets the functional and non-functional requirements based on clients reference architecture

Lead the decision making process for the necessary solution architecture decisions and ensure they are justified and documented



Ensure functional and non-functional requirements, such as security and performance, are met by the systems architecture and liaise with the stakeholders where necessary

Assist project manager in defining and estimating work packages and allocating resources according to their skills for project work

Assist test management by identifying complex parts of the implementation



Plan go-live with release managers and operations and provide the necessary documentation

Ensure the delivery of good quality software product

Liaise effectively with the relevant project teams and other business and IT stakeholders as required;

Present solution architecture to onsite Enterprise Architecture team and address resulting actions;

Perform architecture and code reviews for the duration of the project



Implement software or lead the development effort, according to requirements and clients quality standards

Contribute in the process of updating clients reference architecture and IT standards when required



Skills

Non-Technical



You need to have at least twelve years professional experience in an IT Development role, including professional experience as a Solution Architect or Technical Lead

You also need to have a good command of English and should be able to effectively communicate with people over phone, video conferencing etc.

Strong problem solving skills

Ability to build from good relationships with clients/operational managers and colleagues

Ability to gather and assimilate information

Up to date knowledge of technical applications

Good knowledge of quality standards, legislation and best practice

Ability to be adapt and prioritise

Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines

Ability to think ahead and anticipate problems, issues and solutions

Design/Project Delivery



Practical experience with domain modelling in multiple projects

Experience with implementing multiple design patterns

MVC, MVP, SOA, REST, RPC, ESB and other enterprise integration patterns with practical examples of when to use which one

Security management including common risks, solutions, best practises etc.

Development methodology covering Agile, Lean/Kanban

Good understanding of testing approaches, steps, metrics and tools etc.

ER modelling experience with practical experience

Technical



Strong experience with .NET design and application, database architectures

Experience in latest frameworks: .NET 4.0, 4.5, ASP.Net, C#, MVC 4/5, F#

Experience in using SOA concepts with WCF or Service Stack

Ability to work with all layers: presentation, service, business, data

Experience with agile software development methodologies

Programming in ASP .NET/C#

Experience with Windows 2008 R2/2012 and IIS 7.0+

Usage of TFS or equivalent tools for configuration, code analysis, and profiling

Should be able to analyse and recommend performance, database designs, and general development conventions and standards

Must understand database sizing and scalability requirements
