End-to-end software development lifecycle
Strong OO Design Skills
Software development methodologies, e.g. waterfall, agile
Good understanding of Test Driven Development (essential) and Behaviour Driven Development (preferred)
Awareness of leading-edge tools, techniques and services within IT
Ability to work with an existing body of code (maintenance, feature additions, debugging, etc).
Ability to work in a cross-platform environment (Windows, MacOS, AIX, Linux).
Knowledge of Object Orientated Programming and associated concepts.
Programming exposure / experience
Good understanding of Databases and related concepts.
Should have sound knowledge of HTML and associated Web
Software development consisting of some of the following languages and technologies:
o Java ( JEE experience preferred)
o Webservices (restful webspheres) / knowledge of WSDL
o XML & JSON
o Version Control Software (GIT preferred)
o Continuous Integration (Jenkins)
o Angular JS
o CSS3 (SASS /Compass)
Responsive/adaptive UI experience
BSc degree in relevant software engineering discipline, equivalent to UK 2nd class honours (preferred).
Experienced in IT software development (essential) in using Agile techniques.
Financial services experience essential.
Large-scale blue-chip organisations such as Barclays (preferred)
Extensive Java development experience with excellent debugging ability. (Essential)
Team leading experience. (Preferred)
Extensive experience of developing JEE web-based applications (Essential)
