7+ Years experience
Support 500+ ESX servers globally 24x7, Support Operating Systems, Apply patches, install software, manage Data stores, and troubleshoot performance issues, Troubleshoot alerts from monitoring system for system error conditions. Servicing tickets submitted by customers / Tech alerts.
Should have minimum of 7+ Years. experience in IT -- At working experience on ESX
Technical Skills (Must Have):
Strong understanding of ESX and ESXi Architecture.
Strong experience least 5 to 6 years of in VMWare Cluster Administration and troubleshooting.
Design and build ESXi 5.xsystems and perform operations readiness of the new nodes.
Good understanding of VMware Networking concepts/General Networking Concepts Exposure to Storage (NetApp/FCSAN) technologies.
Well versed in Power CLI,Power shell scripting.
Hands on VMWare ESXi 5.x Administration like vMotion, Storage motion, resource management framework, vSwitches, dvswitches and FT.
Implement and support Disaster Recovery (Site Recovery Manager 5.X ) and High Availability
Backup/Restores with Netapp backup tools like smvi/VSC, TSM VE.
Strong troubleshooting knowledge Related to Storage, Networking, Guest OS and Root Cause, System Log Analysis.
Follow Incident/Change/Proactive Problem management practices effectively Strong knowledge on ITIL framework.
Very good verbal communications including that of technical writing experience.
Technical Skills (Nice to Have):
Data Center experience (change control, ticketing systems, coordinating with other support groups)
Experience defining technical standards for an organization
