Develop high-quality technical documentation by working with writers and engineers to scope, design, develop, edit, and publish technical content.
Estimate, plan, and supervise documentation plans and lead project team members to ensure accurate and timely documentation deliverables for releases of the assigned product lines.
Demonstrate effective use of project resources, identify risks in time, and communicate status information with project stakeholders.
Drive customer feedback programs, and content optimization for localization.
Represent technical communication, and possibly technical translations, function in the cross-functional meetings related to the assigned product lines.
Act as subject matter expert for other team members and translators on the product being documented.
Possess a can-do attitude to balance work volume, set limits, and project deadlines, while prioritizing to maintain and deliver quality work.
Judge the severity of issues for all team members and appropriately escalate to management.
Monitor the PR tracking database to identify documentation and possibly translation problems. Ensure logged defects are resolved in the appropriate release.
Initiate and supervise ongoing departmental improvement projects that include but are not limited to style guide, templates, processes, and tools.
Assist management in recruitment and team building activities.
Perform any other technical communications related duties as directed by the reporting manager
6-12 years experience in developing technical documentation for software products
Ability to guide and influence team members on core ID concepts
Proficient in English language and technical writing skills
Hands-on experience on authoring tools such as Oxygen (DITA framework)
Experience in minimalistic writing methods
Quick learner, detail-oriented, problem-solver, self-starter requiring minimal oversight, with flexibility and good follow-through skills
Proven commitment to teamwork, ability to simultaneously manage multiple projects and willingness to accept responsibility and accountability
Ability to be self-managed and handle conflicts
At least 1 year experience in Technical Writing (Language, grammar, comprehension)
At least 5 years experience in ID tools
At least 5 years experience in ID processes
At least 5 years experience in Core ID skills
