Job Description


Manage multidisciplinary teams in the successful completion of major and complex planning studies, transportation and infrastructure master plans, environmental assessments, and integrated land use, urban design and transportation corridor plans.
Manage municipal road and service design and construction projects, traffic operations and safety reviews involving urban and rural roads, and the delivery of public works services.
Project management of municipal infrastructure design including, road reconstruction and infrastructure improvement.
Preparation of engineering design and tender documents and contract administration.
Manage clients, regulatory agencies and approvals.
Mentoring and guiding staff through all stages of multiple projects, at various stages of development.
Engage in active business development for civil projects.

Candidate Specification:

Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering from accredited University.
10+ years' experience in the development, design and delivery of municipal infrastructure projects.
P. Eng certification is required.
Experience within a consultancy environment.
Extensive experience in undertaking planning, environmental assessments, preliminary design and detailed design of transportation projects.
Must have proven experience in municipal infrastructure design for Public Sector projects within Ontario preferred.
Experience in transportation engineering including planning and design of municipal roads.
Demonstrated ability to manage projects, administer contracts and control budgets.
Must be a good team worker and decision maker.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Leadership skills with a drive and commitment to excel in people management and development.
