Job Description

Role

As SM -- Business Strategy & Market Insights, you will help shape the future direction of People Groups expansion in Global/New markets working directly with key senior stakeholders

You are responsible for both deep market intelligence and forward thinking vision for these markets. You will be the 'go-to-expert' as you have immersed yourself in country/industry/category trends, drawn insight from effective analysis and set in motion a compelling, ambitious growth plan

Responsibilities
1. Analyze and determine key insights from key business drivers, competitive environment, trends and operating metrics
2. Gather competitive intelligence through primary and secondary means
3. Create a knowledge base and system for market opportunity analysis and product/business strategy
4. Undertake strategic research activities for spotting global and macro economic trends in the internet industry at large & matchmaking / dating / wedding industry in specific
5. Develop strategic plans / goals for assigned region and country, explore ideas like product localization, new market entry, and product roadmaps
6. Lead complex and time-critical projects for senior leaders by quickly understanding context and developing a prioritized approach for resolution
7. Execute sophisticated quantitative analyses and advanced modeling that translates data into actionable insights
8. Facilitate market research activities to provide accurate and timely market and competitor information for strategic and operational decisions
9. Plan, prioritize and manage projects within established budgets and deadlines
10. Provide detailed analysis and industry assessments in collaboration with key business leaders

Requirements
1. Bachelors in Engineering, Computer Science, Math, Statistics or a related discipline and an MBA from a top tier B-school (grad preference is IIT Mumbai/Delhi)
2. 4 to 5 years of work experience with minimum 4 years of experience at a leading management consulting (preferred) or high performance in-house strategy team
3. Experience in engaging across global markets
4. At least 2 years consumer internet experience
5. Demonstrated success in stakeholder management and in influencing larger teams
6. Experience leading complex operational and strategic initiatives
7. Distinctive problem-solving and analysis/business modeling skills and impeccable business judgment
8. Superior interpersonal skills and executive presence and excellent communication skills

Good to have
1. Internet, mobile, e-commerce, or technology experience
2. Global/APAC work exposure
