Job Description

Key Responsibilities:
Material Planning:
To direct and control Material planning process of the complete parts spectrum from Local and Imported suppliers through application of material planning methods and tools with the aim of securing the supply of the required part for the originator according to the target agreement.
Oversee the coordination of materials planning that meets production requirements, while maximizing complexities and minimizing inventory levels and waste.
Oversee the accounting and disposition of obsolete, defective or rejected materials.
Establish departmental goals and objectives that provide materials performance to the organization with respect to reports and measurements.
Analyze reports, measurements and external benchmarks to identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
Adhere to company policies, procedures, and ethics codes and ensure that they are communicated and implemented within the department.
Innovation and Change:
Proactively identify and develop strategic concepts for material management and Inventory control process for future model and variant complexities.
Leadership of logistic projects for the development of the supply chain process.
Develop risk management programs to ensure continuity of supply in emergency scenarios.
Deliver continuous improvement in supplier delivery, quality and cost thereby to ensure timely schedule, receipt of materials to support the production schedule.
New initiatives:
Plan or implement improvements to internal or external logistics systems or processes.
Recommend purchase of new or improved technology such as automated systems.
Proactively manage material exceptions and provide feedback to Department head Logistics on critical situations with information.
Internal & External Customers / Suppliers as well as Third Parties:
Coordinate with GMs, Managers etcfor finalizing Logistics planning.
Work in a team environment between the functions of Production, Quality, Finance, and other departments, and interact regularly with senior management regarding progress of goals and accomplishments.
Discuss and coordinate with service providers for smooth logistic activities.
Coordinate with Finance and HR department on Purchasing Process and for recruitment activities.
Supplier interface and supplier development
People Leadership: (i.e. management, motivation and development of staff as well as teamwork)
