Job Description

Identifying alteate Vendors based on Quality, Price and Lead time. Maintenance of Supplier Performance Records. Analysis of local market or delivery system in order to assess present & future material availability. Interacting with the User department Heads and Managers to understand the specification and application of the materials. Getting Quotations from the Vendors, comparing for Price, Quality, Lead time and Credit terms and recommending for the Approved Vendors List. Negotiate Price & Terms of Purchase Orders / Contracts. Process Purchase Requisitions in SAP and executing the Purchase Orders. Direct the purchase team and ensure regular follow up with the vendors for on time delivery of the materials and updating the same to the respective user departments. Annually review standard costs and Monitor Purchase Price Variation. Maintain complete updated purchasing records/data and pricing in the system. Identify the regular ordering materials to get volume discounts. Contract Agreements Annually for all the regular ordering items and reviewing the same. Strong experience in Stores handling, Warehouse Management & Inventory Management. Handling logistics functions for Procurement and negotiate with shippers or freight forwarders, clearing agents for cost effective transport solutions and clearances. Co-ordinate with Finance Department for the payment settlements of vendors. Maintenance of associated controlled documents such as SOPs, and Approved Suppliers list. Handled successfully the Inteal & Exteal Audit for Purchase and Inventory records. Exporting the materials to clients, arranging for packing and dispatch of the materials with companys Invoices from the warehouse. Formulating MIS reports relating to material management and cost savings. Keep the user department managers and higher officials informed of potential raw material shortages and price fluctuations in order to provide sufficient strategic planning. Supervise Purchasing Assistants; provide work direction, closely monitoring them and follow-up on day to day activities. Ensuring smooth Supply Chain Management at better cost and lead time.
