The responsibilities of the incumbent will be to manage the IT Operations of the Company. This means actively managing the various IT activities at the Company. These typically are :
1. Hardware & Software Infrastructure Projects
a. Network Infrastructure Upgrade & Maintenance. Ensuring uptime maintained as defined with vendor. Taking up any new initiatives such as back up connections etc.
b. Data Centers (Primary & DR) Maintenance.
c. Hardware & Software Procurement.
d. Hardware & Software maintenance at the Regions via the 3 Regional IT executives.
2. Software Projects
a. Shatranj 2.5 maintenance. Ensuring issues & new requirements raised by users are resolved within the committed time by actively coordinating with Kewill and the internal Business Applications team.
b. Ensuring the smooth running of 'in-house' applications EASI (old & new), MIS (old & new), Remittance etc. Ensuring that issues / new requests raised by users are resolved as per the committed time lines.
c. Supporting external applications such as Caseware, HRIS, SPINE FA etc. to ensure that the users requirements are being fulfilled.
The job of the incumbent will be ensuring that all the above-mentioned projects are running smoothly. All issues related to any of the above areas are resolved on time and to the satisfaction of the end users.
To perform these activities the incumbent will need the help of the existing Company's Team and therefore the respective Team Leads (Infrastructure, Software Development & Business Applications) will report to the incumbent for all the Company related projects.
The incumbent will be required to interact on a regular basis with the Management at Country office as well as across the Regions.
The incumbent will report to the General Manager -- IT, on a periodic basis, the status of the various activities being undertaken.
* Who handled multiple large projects simultaneously.
* With good communication (written & oral) skills.
* Highly process oriented yet flexible to the users needs.
* Drive to ensure completion of jobs.
* Good people (both the IT Team & End Users) management skills.
* Appropriate Technical skils such as :
o Basic knowledge on WAN networking.
o Basic knowledge on hardware configurations (Servers, Workstations etc).
o Data center management (desirable).
o Knowledge on RDBMS such as Oracle, MS SQL (mandatory).
o Knowledge of any one programming language (mandatory).
o Knowledge of Server Virtualization required.
