Job Description


Creating innovative and creative solutions to enable Fraud Analytics for internal and external customers

Responsible for requirements gathering & analysis, and converting them into SAS code

Creation Business Requirement Document after gathering requirements from business

Creation/Execution of Unit Test Plan

Mentor junior programmers with all levels of day-to-day work including coding, code review, and re-running algorithms for Medicare, Medicaid and other dedicated commercial clients using SAS, ORACLE, DB2 and other programming languages

Assist others in understanding data as they summarize and present complex patterns of fraud in the form of easily deciphered datasets to Healthcare Data Analysts

Developing systems for fraud detection, including post-payment algorithms to identify recovery opportunity, pre-payment rules and flags for identification of suspicious claims

Conducting research studies that may include analyzing, reviewing, trending and presenting information, based on provided specs, to support or refute hypotheses leading to the identification of heath care fraud & abuse

Driving continual process improvement into the organization

Document and ensure the proper maintenance of platform development process and corresponding documentation

Ensure timely project deliveries with high quality (milestones and deliverables).

Coordinate and communicate effectively with project team members.

Desired Skills:

B.Tech./MCA/Graduation (Minimum 15 years of formal education, Correspondence courses are not relevant).

5+ years experience with data mining and analysis using SAS

Strong knowledge of SAS. Especially SAS/BASE, SAS/MACRO, SAS/SQL.

Work experience in SAS on UNIX platform will be a plus.

Good knowledge of Oracle and SQL.

Working knowledge of UNIX.

Knowledge of US Healthcare is strongly desired

Should understand basic concepts of processes related to SDLC, Configuration Management.

Knowledge of Data warehousing concepts.

Should have fair knowledge on UNIX environment.

Process documentation and process flow experience desired

Excellent Communication Skills.

Should able to work independently and manage over all communication.

Should carry a positive attitude and a good team player
