Job Description

We have a current opening for a Market Activation Manager- Tamil Nadu with a fortune 100 MNC to be based at their Regional Office in Chennai.Key accountabilities : MAM (Market Activation Manager) would lead a team of Field Marketing representatives FMR's (to be provided by Distributors). He would be responsible to generate pull/demand from consumers and influencers through activities in his basket of towns (5 to 6 Core Towns in a state). He will report into the Regional Manager- Retail for the State. Area Activation Approach:The MAM's target audience will be mechanics, small fleet-owners, individual consumers and other influencers. The MAM will perform world-class one-to-one and one-to-many interactions that will create an urge to use, reinforce usage and ensure advocacy for the company.The basket of towns will be signed off centrally and the activation schedule will be provided to the MAM on a quarterly basis. The activation schedules will be jointly signed off by sale and marketing. The MAM will be provided with necessary technical, product benefit and activity implementation modules. They would also be armed with the necessary hardware e.g. projector, speakers etc which would enable impactful event. The MAM will be responsible for training and developing the FMR's so that the activity implementation can be scaled up. The key activities carried out by MAM would be Garage Meets/ Mechanic Meets, Fleet owners meet, Tractor clinics; Stand meets (LCV & Jeep), Roadshows and Agency led activation management etc.The key measurement criteria for the impact of the MAM's activities would be: The MAM's towns should show a 2% incremental growth over other towns in the state.The MAM role is also seen to be critical in achievement of our WILG Strategy going ahead.Essential Education : University Graduate in Science discipline (Preferred BE/B.Tech /B.Sc)Essential experience and job requirements : Experience of 4-6 years in managing sales through distributors, NFW handling, Sales Promotion & Business Development, third party people management and Training & development of people.He has to implement the Area Activation Strategy by implementing key marketing programs: quality activations, mechanic loyalty programs, Track Competition, develop in-depth regional market feedback mechanism and suggest action plans.Other Requirements (eg Travel, Location) : English and TamilDesirable criteria & qualifications : Great degree of Leading People Competency- Strong Performance Bias- Strong Partnership and teamwork- Strong Communication & Presentation Skills-Influencer / Customer orientation
