Job Description

Candidate will control SAFETY/HSE REQUIREMENT of all the sites by visiting the sites (Approximately 20 sites), as and when required.

Promote health and safety within the organization and develop safer and healthier ways of working. Application of programs to remove the hazards from the work place and to correct unsafe work practices.

Inspect and test machinery and equipment to make sure they meet safety regulations.

Make sure that personal protective equipment is being used in workplaces according to regulations.

Make sure that dangerous materials are correctly stored.
Identify and test work areas for potential accident and health hazards and implement appropriate control measures.

Make sure that the organization is aware of, and complies with, all legislation in relation to the use of its plant, equipment and substances, as well as in all workplace activities.

Help supervise the investigation of accidents and unsafe working conditions, study possible causes and recommend remedial action.

Conduct training sessions for management, supervisors and workers on health and safety practices and legislation
Coordinate emergency procedures .

Communicate frequently with management to report on the status of the health and safety program.

Recommends or demands necessary action or procedural changes to correct areas not in compliance with regulations.

Acts in an advisory capacity on all matters pertaining to health and safety for the guidance of the employer and the workers.

Develop health and safety systems, including policies, procedures and manuals.

Acts in an advisory capacity on all matters pertaining to health and safety for the guidance of the employer and the workers.

Propagating and promulgating safety and industrial hygiene instructions, procedures and standards.

Conducting meetings and toolbox meeting for increasing safety awareness.

Monitors and check the progress of the project.
Handles Quality Control and Safety of the project.

Candidate will be reporting to Senior Management person at HO.

As per the Industrial norms, He should have the following qualifications & experience:
BSC Graduate / Engineering with Post Gradute Diploma in Safety Course or Equivalent.
Preference will be given to candidates with 5-8 yrs experience of working with Project contractor or consultancy in the Oil & Gas Industry.
