Job Description

Role:

Looking for technologist to drive middleware initiatives/projects in support of Shared Services offerings for Clients business applications. Responsibilities include standard definition, infrastructure architecture, and integration solution through defined systems development life cycle. This role will require implementation and documentation of a detailed methodology across traditional planning processes, and solution delivery.The role will require close collaboration with peers in order to drive the implementation of the overall delivery transformation strategy, productivity tools support implementation, and measurement required by the enterprise.

Job Description

Manage Business Objects STE focused technology initiative for Customer. Help define best practice guidelines for Reporting implementation using SAP Business Objects X13.1 and BI 4.0 product suites. Ensure all designs meet enterprise requirements for scalability, performance, resiliency, security, and manageability

Develop automation framework to promote client centric reports. Respond to and resolve assigned Level 3 tickets on Business Objects issues in X13.1 and BI 4.0 production, test and development environments within defined SLA's.

Capacity planning and projections for a large / high capacity reporting environment. Ownership of VTM Patch cycle process of Shared Services - Customers Organization to help neutralize known and unknown security threats.

Provide regular detailed management status reports on engineering projects and activities and deliver detailed documentation (Statements of Work, Technical Designs, User Guides, Test Plans/ Results) for each project / activity

Develop project plans with detailed breakdown of activities and milestones demonstrating an understanding of the projects' interdependencies and key participants, and identifying staffing needs for training, and implementation.

Provides in-depth and sophisticated analysis with interpretive thinking to define problems and develop innovative solutions.Responsible for infrastructure architecture, design and implementation oversight of integration solutions in the areas of application integration (A2A), B2B and SOA.

Develop and present training for support personnel on new/enhanced system functions. Provide L3 SME expertise for Major Production incidents.

Qualification:

Minimum 10+ yrs experience in a Web operational or engineering role with hands-on technical experience as a Business Objects Engineer with financial industry.

Working knowledge of WebSphere, Apache, Tomcat, WebLogic, Linux/AIX and or IBM i5-OS operating systems

Proven experience of information technology principles, best practices, architectures, tools and processes in the areas of:

o Strong prior experience in SAP Business Objects Enterprise Administration and installation of XI 3.1( Central Management Console, Designer, Desktop Intelligence, Web Intelligence, InfoView, Import Wizard, Crystal Reports, Xcelsius)

o Experience of Tomcat, Apache, Web Sphere and Oracle 11g database

o Experience with Universe configuration and row level securities

o Experience with Webi reports using Universe and Custom SQL

o Working knowledge of configuring the SAP integration Kit, Crystal SDK and Windows AD SSO

o TCP/IP networking, WAN, LAN, HTTP, HTTPS, LDAP

Strong ability to work in a highly focused technical environment together with other motivated and driven professionals, as well as the ability to work independently.

Team management and leadership experience and prior COE experience is a plus.

Must have experience in participating in the management of multiple concurrent initiatives while relying on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.

Candidate needs to be highly client focused, highly motivated, and hard working. Ability to effectively work with a wide range of business units and technology groups.

Must be able to work in environment with challenging deadlines and across a large organization.
