Job scope (Tasks & account-abilities):
Within the framework of damage reported by the airlines (linked to events or during maintenance operations), the job holder will start by providing the repair definition drawings (repair drawing, TDs or repair instructions) and steers the Airlines in case of deviations observed on aircraft and/or the associated repair in association with a stress colleagues. This will contribute to his training phase.
With increasing knowledge in Repair Design activity, the objective is that the job holder get the Design signature delegation (Check / Approve), in order to sign for the Design part, the Repair dossiers provided by Supplier. Supplier is currently supporting Daily Repair Fuselage team in France and Germany, delivering around 120 In Service Query per week.
The Repair definition must be delivered within deadlines set by customer support in accordance with the airlines, in order to guarantee that the aircraft returns to service as quickly as possible.
Main problems to be solved in the position:
For Repair Design activity (Training phase):
steer the repair without penalising the airline, while complying with design and stress best practices
understand and interpret the damage described by the airline (or the maintenance centres)
have good knowledge of all the types of documentation linked to aircraft operation and maintenance
have a good knowledge on the various airbus A/C families
collect the data permitting stress substantiation
For Signature Delegation:
Knowledge of higher-level processes/procedural documents
Knowledge and understanding of Delegation Scope
Knowledge of airworthiness functions and basic procedures
Knowledge and experience of Configuration Management procedures/Process
Knowledge of non-conformity handling and applicable procedures
May work in shift (night, week-end) in small team with large autonomy

Signature Delegation (Check / approve) in order to deliver repair definition/ drawings in line with Airline expectation.
Required Domain Expertise (skills):
Graduate/Post Graduate Engineer (Aerospace Engineering / Mechanical Engineering/ Civil Engineering)
The requirement is a structural design Engineer, widely experienced, knowledgeable on Airworthiness and on structure engineering, with an integrated view of the aircraft Design and its operation/ maintenance.
5 - 10 years.
