Should have excellent and strong communication skills.
Should be ready to take ownership of deployment.
Must have managed deployment bridge where multiple vendors and multiple applications are involved.
Should be an individual contributor. Mostly resources answer that "we" as a team used to do this/that. This wont work.
Should be able to hold the bridge and ensure that different people who will be making the change follows his/her instructions.
Should be able to understand the implementation plan and get it implemented in mainly production environment.
Should have prior experience in managing and taking decisions about backing out changes - when to extend deployment time and when to back out.
Should have managed emergency changes.
Should have understanding of Release management and change management processes and policies.
70% will be utilized for implementation management. Rest 30. -35% will be involved in change management/release management.
Should have exposure in Incident management.
Exposure to remedy tool for change management is a plus.
Collaborate with development, QA, UAT and Pharmacy teams on design of release management planning, installation, configuration, and deployment processes
Collaborate with other programs such as KPHC, KP.org, and others to develop Release Calendar and release strategy
Manage and execute deployment between all environments including coordination of production releases with operations.
Propose possible process improvement to the RM Manager
Assist in managing weekly release meetings
Create/update build procedure documentation for software release across multiple environments
Create the needed change tickets as necessary
Assist RM Manager in resolving any release management issues as they occur
Perform daily or weekly technical tasks as assigned by the RM Manager
Provide RM Manager with a weekly update of release issues, concerns and status
