The QA Team Lead will focus on QA activities across all web/mobile projects in order to achieve company business goals, which are tied to the extensive list of internet and intranet projects.
Analyze requirements during the requirements phase of the project along with the development team lead and keep track of new requirements from the project.
Establish quality tools and processes for requirements traceability and test case coverage.
Act as a single point of contact between Development/Product teams and Testers for Testing and deployment activities.
Ensure content and structure of all Testing artifacts is documented and maintained.
Provide leadership to QA resources in development and execution of a QA test plan.
Manage and track open items in testing tools.
Partner with development and product teams to prioritize and track bugs.
Provide QA reporting metrics to technology and product teams.
Evaluate, recommend, and implement automated test tools and strategies.
Enforce established processes for QA such as how test cases are documented, how test execution is organized and reported out, etc.
Bring measurable improvement in quality and efficiency of existing QA testing processes.
Assist in design and development of knowledge management processes.
Develop new QA/UAT testing processes and train QA resources.
Lead new knowledge management initiatives within the team. This includes transferring of intellectual capital from product owners and development teams to a central repository.
Understand and apply industry best practices for quality assurance.
Desired Skills and Experience:
Bachelors Degree or equivalent with experience
Understanding of web development process
5+ years in a QA role with 2+ years in a Lead QA role, experience with an E-Commerce brand is a plus.
Experience leading multiple resources on project.
Experience working on multiple projects concurrently.
Experience with web testing software (Selenium, Load testing tools, etc.), ticketing tools (Redmine etc.).
Hands on experience with basic SQL scripting, HTML and Unix commands.
Skill and Ability:
Ability to perform QA under agile and waterfall development methodologies.
Solid understanding of the entire QA life cycle.
Ability to interface with people at all levels across the organization with strong written and oral communication skills.
Organized and detail oriented.
Available to be on call 24/7 during critical site launches for quality assurance purposes.
Ability to communicate between departments, with a clear understanding of the objectives that must be met on a timely basis.
