The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
Under direction of the Senior Project Manager, assists in the completion and execution of projects a variety of projects ranging in total fee of $50,000 to $500,000.
Ability to schedule projects, coordinate other disciplines and subcontractors. Periodically reviews project schedule and progress on the projects he or she is assigned.
Outlines problems and methods of approach for other engineers in the successful execution of projects.
Assists in the completion and execution of several varied assignments simultaneously. Must be able to multi-task several assignments and/or deliverables.
Reviews and analyzes a variety of scientific data to determine requirements to meet objectives.
Ability to setup project budgets to meet client expectations and which are profitable to the firm. Ability to effectively scope and budget new projects.
Must be able to interact with several different clients in the execution of projects.
Applies knowledge of engineering or scientific principals and practices in broad areas of assignment and related fields.
Must be an effective communicator and possess strong writing skills. Will be required to prepare reports, specifications, plans, construction schedules, environmental impact studies, and designs for project.
Will seek technical support for tasks outside his/her area of expertise.
Must be active in professional organizations within the engineering field and desire to strengthen HMM's brand in Florida.
Ability to assist in the pursuit of new projects involving request for proposals with clients, including technical writing of approaches.
Desire to mentor junior staff on fundamentals and general project management skills.
Client service oriented person willing/able/available to develop relationships with existing and potential clients.
Bachelor's Degree (B. S.) or equivalent; minimum of six years of related experience and/or training.
May be a registered engineer in the state of Florida or be able to obtain Florida PE within first 3 months.
Must have ability to travel to clients and job sites and be willing to attend meetings after regular business hours.
