Job Description

Responsibilities will include:

Effective control of requirements and scope
Ensuring appropriate services are delivered through technical, engineering, project controls and commercial support functions
Safe, secure, timely and cost effective delivery of projects meeting business and environmental objectives.
Effective management flow of data to communicate; status, progress, uncertainty, risk and current/projected performance.
Development and welfare of team members
Effective communication across project delivery, client and stakeholder teams

Those joining us in more senior roles are also likely to have business and line management responsibilities in support of the company's goals including:

Key project and business communication
Achieving profitability our commissions
Delivery of commissions in line with customer objectives and contracted stage of work

Managing team development through the Performance Development Review (PDR) system
Acting as a coach or mentor to more junior staff

Candidate Specification
Experience:
The successful candidates will have a background in construction or engineering and experience of managing and leading project teams to successful outcomes on projects for Network Rail, the Highways Agency and UK Transport Executives and Metropolitan Borough Councils.
Previous experience of managing integrated multi-disciplinary teams within client organisations including development, controls, delivery, commercial, procurement, contracts, engineering, safety and quality, integration, stakeholder management and communications.

Skills:
A self- motivated individual, with the ability to build and maintain sound working relationships with a clients and stakeholders is essential, together with an ability to motivate teams and create an enjoyable and fulfilling work environment.
Able to prioritise and work under pressure and adopt a proactive and flexible approach to work.
Excellent report writing, presentation and communication skills are also required. Flexibility in work location and travel is also an advantage.

Qualifications:

Degree in a construction, engineering or project management subject (Don does not have)
APM/PMI membership (Don should have)
Other further post graduate qualifications or professional training is desired but not essential including Registered Project Practitioner, APMP, PRINCE2, MSP, P3M3 and LEAN.
