Working within the Capital projects team you will be responsible for delivering internal facing projects using external design staff.
This is a pure Project Management role with no internal business management responsibility.
Key tasks will include:
Establishing the project brief, agreeing the procurement process and setting up the project
Production of the project execution plan including communications plan
Management of internal Quality Assurance system and ensuring project compliance
Day-to-day contact with the client, resolution of key project issues
Risk management, stakeholder engagement, change management and contract administration
Financial management of project including tracking project budget and advising both internally and externally on budget pressures
Management of design team to production of planning submissions and creation of the Employer's Requirements.
Procurement of the main contractor.
Coordinate and manage the monthly reporting cycle for particular projects - including preparation of internal and external reports, financial forecasts, project updates, and contribution to Earned Value Analysis reports.
Develop own career and maximize effectiveness.
Monitor project deliverables and ensure that key performance indicator measures are achieved.
Establish effective communications across the project delivery, client and stakeholder teams
Control the internal and external commercial aspects of projects across a range of contractual arrangements.
Key skills, qualifications and experience
Chartered status (MRICS or MAPM) or equivalent
Significant experience delivering public sector projects
Experience of secondments is helpful but not essential
Excellent communication skills with the confidence to develop and drive the projects forward
Good working knowledge of core project management skills
Proven in the development of good working practice.
