Responsibilities will include a balance of project work, team management, client service and business development.

PROJECT RELATED RESPONSIBILITIES:

Plan, manage and direct projects of various industry practices and sizes.
Establish and manage project
scope-schedule-budget and work with sub-consultants and team members to assure quality control of work throughout project execution

Serve as the firm's responsible contact (Project Director, Project Manager) with specific clients.
Prepare or direct preparation and modification of reports, specifications, plans, construction schedules, environmental impact studies and designs for project.
Provide effective interface with clients, regulatory agencies, public, and other HMM offices
Coordinate with HMM Practice Leads and Subdivison Managers as needed.
Manage and perform engineering analysis, preliminary, and detail design

BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT RESPONSIBILITIES

Developing leads and contacts, winning work, supporting the execution of the work, building core competency within multiple practices.
Build and maintain relationship with clients and teaming partners.
Build and maintain relationships with managers in HMM Units/Divisions/Subdivisions across North America
Take on a lead role in the proposal process.
Assist in the development of SOQs and proposals in multiple Practices
Assist in identifying potential team members in the pursuit of RFQs and help establish relationships with other firms for future pursuits.

Candidate Specification

Bachelors of Science Degree in Civil, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or related field, from an accredited University
Professional Engineering License (Texas), or ability to obtain TX PE within one year of hire.
Minimum 10-15 years' of engineering design and project management experience in some or all of the following disciplines/sectors:
oil and gas liquids receiving and loading terminals, port facilities, and bulk material handling.,.
Experience in port facilities design and/or construction management (liquid bulk/ general cargo terminals and construction docks, etc.)
Experience leading multi-discipline design teams on complex projects.
Demonstrated technical and analytical skills, including technical writing and presentations
Strong project management, documentation, and technical skills.
Strong entrepreneurial skills, with the ability to manage teams and the commitment to grow the business.
Strong client service skills.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
