Job Description

The role of the Project Manager will include the following:

To undertake regular site inspections to confirm compliance with the specification and quality standards based on the established check procedures.
To undertake reviews of the Contractors construction systems and application of the Contractor(s) quality procedures
To monitor the Contractor(s) safety performance, highlighting any shortfalls and with the approval of the Contract Manager, agree any rectification processes
Attending site progress, quality and technical meetings and maintaining a site presence
Checking reported progress against actual site progress and provide weekly construction updates based on information collected by the site engineer
Review material submissions

Candidate Specification

Key requirements and qualifications are as follows:

-Ideally 8 years postgraduate experience in engineering, architecture or quantity surveying

-Experience in construction supervision

-Experience in the design of buildings and infrastructure works

-Previous experience of working on PPP projects

-Strong understanding of H & S and its implementation - knowledge of CDM

-Knowledge of Bahrain approvals process and how the ministries work is preferred but not essential

-Understanding of LEED/sustainable building principles

-Bahrain or Middle East experience is advantageous for this role but not essential
