Job Description


This Project Management role is part of the product development team. His primary responsibility will be to take ownership for development / enhancement of various product components.

As a Project Manager :

You will be responsible for adhering to timelines, efforts and quality of a delivery.
You will need to understand the objectives for a release for a given component.
You will have to understand with the help of technical architects the work elements, complexity, risks, dependencies involved.
You will be responsible to create a plan and track it.
You will be expected to work with both internal development team as well as outsourced product development teams.
Ability to manage and work with external development partners will be important.
You will be responsible for managing the team / people reporting into you.

Candidate Requirements

You should have:

A technical degree (Engineering, MCA) from a reputed institute with a minimum of 8 years of experience in the software industry, with atleast 2 years experience in managing project and people.
Good project management skills.
Enough analytical and technical skills to understand technical complexities and pre-empt project risks / challenges.
Good people management capabilities. This will not only include managing and motivating people but also identifying potentials and grooming them.

It would be nice if you have:

Skills on JAVA and OOPS designing.
