This position is responsible for managing all activities related to the Implementation of Oracle Financials in the Americas Region. Excellent functional and practical knowledge of the Oracle R12 application core modules including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger, Fixed Assets, Cash Management, e-Business Tax and AGIS.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Working with Country Finance Management to perform gap analysis on country requirements in relation to the standard global processes and documenting recommendations on localization requirements and conversion of non-compliant processes.
Coordinating with external consultants where necessary for specialist scenarios in managing local legal fiscal requirements within the Oracle application.
Coordinating the data cleansing and data migration work with the team based in the Global Financial Shared Service Centre (GFSSC) and other Global team members.
Work with Global IT and / or the Consulting Partner to perform Application configuration.
Preparing Test Cases & Executing the Test Cases
Work with IT Project Manager to conduct regression testing for all localizations agreed.
Supporting User Acceptance Testing (UAT) & User Training (core user, end user and GFSSC users).
Functional Support and resolving issues pre & post Go-Live, working closely with all stakeholders involved.
Analysing requirements and availability of local reports compared to reports available from the global design, making recommendations and submitting requirements to global team for approval and development where appropriate.
Following a global corporate governance process for alignment of processes globally, coordinating between local country management and regional and Corporate Governance Teams.
Bachelor's degree in Accounting and / or 5+ years of relevant practical experience in professional environment.
A proven track record of end-to-end delivery in the Oracle Financials Implementation.
Minimum 3 - 5 years of experience with Oracle Financials across at least 3 full project life-cycles.
Ability to provide functional solutions in Oracle Applications to address business requirements.
Business Process Mapping, gap analysis, documenting business requirements and functional specifications for proposed solutions where appropriate.
Ability to work with local, regional and global teams in the execution of the project
Good functional knowledge of the Oracle application architecture including organisational structure, Chart of Account & Ledger Structure, TCA, etc.
Good knowledge of additional available solutions via SLA, ADI, DFF etc.
Contribution in the specification for development of RICEW where required.
Capable of handling the change management elements of the project with local country management.
Fluency in English (written and spoken)
Fluency in Spanish and / or Portuguese (written and spoken) preferred but not essential
A working knowledge of freight forwarding would be beneficial
