Job Description

Principal Duties and Responsibilities
Manages Information Technology projects which could include applications, infrastructure, systems, storage, networks, and security technologies from the design through development, testing, readiness, and stabilization phases.
Participates in functional and technical Operational Decision Team meetings and is responsible for detailed project planning and the maintenance of the project delivery schedule.
Develops and maintains project and resource plans, maintains quality and focus, monitors and controls project expenditures against approved budget and successfully manages end to end solution delivery with oversight from more senior level project managers. Must follow Organization published Project Management procedures.
Day to day resource management of project team and technical team assignment ensuring effective delivery of projects tasks, deliverables, and milestones on time, on budget, and within specification and or agreed upon project scope.
Organizes and delivers project related communications as determined during project governance formation. Responsible for ensuring all project stakeholders based on the level of interest and authority are well informed of project progress and decisions.
Educates business partner on appropriate technical solutions. Communicates delivery status, issue management and resolution.
Must fully understand how to use and ensure data is accurately maintained in Cloud Maintained Project Management and be fully proficient in IaaS organization structures
Resolves highly complex technical issues and conducts advanced research.
Provide ongoing support as requested by manager. Mentor Technical Analysts.
Provides advanced, hands-on technical support across a broad range of technical user problems;
Communicates and escalates incidents and requests beyond scope of ability to senior service resources
Logs and tracks incidents and requests; reviews incident and request tracking databases
Investigates hardware problems and performs minor system hardware and communication connection repairs
Acts as facility lead on technical project implementations; coordinates infrastructure-based needs for facility based new construction
conducting meetings, committees and continuing education to improve individual, departmental and organizational performance
Aids and trains users on proper use of division and/or facility technology
Conduct facility-based IT project planning, as needed

Experience with utilizing various Portfolio Planning and Project Management tools including enterprise level systems

Experience utilizing defect tracking software

Competencies
Proficient with CRM development using Sales force, Configuring the Custom Cloud
Extensive experience with project management in a complex, high technology software development environment from end-to-end (i.e. embedded software gathers data which is stored into cloud data store and then displayed to end user on website table, online maps or via web services) including utilization of various software development life cycles. This includes confirming and coordinating software enhancements to ensure they are implemented concurrently to enable successful testing of system functionality.
Demonstrated experience in effectively leading and managing a technical professionals through various projects
Strong requirements analysis skills including retrieving/understanding scopes of work from Business Analysts or customers for each phase of the project with limited information.
Experience in Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) such as Agile/Scrum including various tracking methodologies such as earned value management (EVM)
A thorough and demonstrated understanding of generic Project Life Cycle management controls
Leading and directing the work of others including ability to manage and delegate work as part of a team in a project-based environment.
Works with team members to solve the conflict quickly and effectively. Identify issues, lead resolution efforts, and escalate issues appropriately.
Receives and gives feedback including providing positive feedback when expectations are met and confronting team members when expectations are not met. Provides input into performance reviews.
Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed such as:
Assisting technical team in design and development tasks
Assisting test team in creating test plans and actual testing efforts
